Maya Daya Clinic with its literal meaning Love and Compassion is a nonprofit organization established in 1992 under the care of Kopan Monastery, following the advice of H.E Kyabje Lama Zopa Rinpoche to improve and enhance the health of the local people, especially the impoverished and underprivileged citizens of Kapan V.D.C and the villages nearby. During those time, there was neither a clinic nor hospital in this village and nearby area. People from this area had to walk at least 45 minutes to reach the place where they could catch local transportation to see doctors at the nearest hospital.
Viewing this difficulty, the compassionate Rinpoche envisaged a clinic for caring of those in need and Maya Daya Clinic came into being. It provided its service with 50 percent discount on medicine and doctor’s consultation for as little as Rs. 2 to the general public, and distributed medicines free of cost to the needy patients.

HOW MAYA DAYA CLINIC CAME INTO BEING
From the time of inception, Maya Daya Clinic has arranged a physician, a nurse, a lab technician, a radiographer and two dedicated monks to oversee the patients coming for different health ailments. It has already benefited thousands of local sick people and the monks and nuns of Kopan monastery.
With the need for basic medical care in the local area well covered by other clinics and pharmacies, Maya Daya Swastya Clinic decided to close down its facilities and ventured in taking the next step in its development by setting up a Dialysis Center in the year 2020.

MAYA DAYA SWASTHYA CLINIC has successfully completed set up of a dialysis center with well-equipped machines, highly qualified doctors, well trained nurses, very caring and dedicated monks assisting the patients with compassion. The facility embodies an ambience of peace and homely environment, as envisioned by Kopan Monastery. We are very much committed to expand the service by adding more machines to fulfill the demand of the growing number of CKD patients requiring hemodialysis every year in the near future.
Our facility has been treating people without prejudice and providing financial support to absorb unseen expenses required to treat patients whose conditions worsen during treatment and require critical care service. Furthermore, there are many patients who shy away and renounce treatment because of their financial conditions. Many do not feel comfortable to share their situation with the staffs at Dialysis center despite not being able to meet additional cost not covered by the Government Program.
Our project sustains to carry out treatments through your organization’s generous donation as well as from the individual donors. We remain optimistic to carry out treatment of those in need and anticipate support from many kind and compassionate friends who are looking out for a genuine organization like Maya Daya Swasthya Clinic in acts of good faith for the benefit of the needy and underprivileged ones.
Our Motto
The motto of Maya Daya Swasthya Clinic's dialysis center is to provide high-quality and compassionate nephrology support and dialysis service to patients suffering from chronic kidney disease, particularly those from low- and middle-income families. The clinic aims to bridge the gap between unaffordability, inaccessibility, and unavailability of dialysis treatment, which has led to considerable loss of lives in Nepal. Through its well-equipped machines, highly qualified doctors, well trained nurses, and caring and dedicated monks, the clinic provides free dialysis services to patients, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their treatment through the government free dialysis scheme to its citizens.
